A special commando force trained for the job was ready to storm the Indian Airlines Airbus 300 airplane after its tyres had been shot off as per standard practice recognised the world over when it landed in Amritsar airport for refuelling. Even the pilot Cpt. Devi Sharan was ready for it and hoping against hope that such an action would be taken. But someone from Delhi had phoned to stay the commando action and made the plane to take off. Till date no one knows who that someone was because it was suppressed as he was too powerful an authority in the government. So far no one has been punished for that crime against the nation which was the biggest blot on the performance of the NDA.

One of the terrorists exchanged was Maulana Masud Azar of Karachi's Lal Masjid who was languishing in a Kashmir jail. Why such criminals are not shot inside the jails under a false encounter if required is never understood. Athiti Deva Bhava? To make matters worse, NDTV was on the overdrive to force the govt. to release the terrorists in exchange for the passengers, whose relatives the TV Channel was parading on their channel round the clock in order to break the resolve of the Khichri Sarkar called NDA not to release the terrorists. Later its Foreign Minister even escorted those Pakistani thugs to Kandahar for ensuring them a safe passage.The nation will never forget this for long as it was the last thing that was expected from a BJP or Parivar govt!
