THE INDIAN STORY.......

An Old Story:

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The Grasshopper thinks the Ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the Ant is warm and well fed. The Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

Current Indian Version:

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The Grasshopper thinks the Ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
But soon there is paradigm shift after politicians and the media enter the scene:
Come winter, the shivering Grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the Ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.
NDTV, Aaj Tak, CNN-IBN, Times, Doordarshan, Star, Sahara, BBC, CNN all show up to provide pictures of the shivering Grasshopper next to a video of the Ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
The World is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be that this poor Grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?
Arundhati Roy stages a demonstration in front of the Ant's house.
Medha Patkar goes on a fast along with other Grasshoppers demanding that Grasshoppers be relocated to warmer climates during winter.
Mayawati states this as `injustice' done to Minorities.
Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the UN criticize the Indian Government for discriminatory practices and not upholding the fundamental rights of the Grasshopper.
The Internet is flooded with online petitions and signature campaigns seeking support for the Grasshopper (many even promising Heaven and Everlasting Peace for prompt support by those signing in as against the wrath of God for non-compliance).
Opposition MPs stage a walkout in Parliament. Left parties call for 'Bandh' in West Bengal and Kerala demanding a Judicial Enquiry.
The CPM in Kerala immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard in the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and Grasshoppers.
Lalu Yadav allocates one free coach to Grasshoppers on all Indian Railway Passenger Trains, aptly named as the 'Gareeb Rath'.
Arjun Singh with a view to taking further Affirmative Action makes 'Special Reservation ' for Grasshoppers in Educational Institutions and in Government Services.
Finally, a Judicial Committee drafts the ' Prevention of Terrorism Against Grasshoppers Act' [POTAGA], with effect from the beginning of each winter.
The Ant is fined for failing to comply with POTAGA and having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes; its home is confiscated by the Government and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by NDTV anchored by that anti-India bearded apparition.
Arundhati Roy calls it ' A Triumph of Justice' and promises to write her next book on it.
Lalu calls it 'Socialistic Justice '.
NDTV claims that they were the first to break the story.
CPM calls it the ' Revolutionary Resurgence of the Downtrodden '.
The ruling party is sure to corner a substantial segment of the Grasshopper community’s vote in the next General Elections which will become due after its pseudo allies have pulled down the government.
The UN General Secretary invites the leader of the Grasshoppers to address the UN General Assembly.

Many years later...

The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar company in Silicon Valley.Thousands of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite the introduction of Affirmative Action of reservations all over in India,
..AND
As a result of losing a lot of hard working Ants and feeding the unproductive Grasshoppers, India is still a developing country…!!!

Do you think ANY political party or media people who are constantly proclaiming from rooftops that they are different and principled will have the guts to call a spade a spade for putting an end to all such nonsense? They are too scared at what the others of their ilk will say and also make out street campaigns against them.

WITH NO SUCH STUPIDITIES INVOLVED IN CHINA, DO YOU STILL THINK THEY CANNOT WALLOP INDIA HANDS DOWN??
