But if Varun is withdrawn, not only Pilibhit will go but it will show the BJP in bad light for being a Party that lets its own candidates down which will give a handle to its opponents to create dissensions in BJP and NDA. Nor will the BJP's opponents or NDTV and CNN-IBN call it a "secular" Party and give it any positive coverage.

Whether one accepts it or not, there are thousands of Muslims who vote for the BJP as they sincerely believe that they are not used as a vote bank only by it as the sham secular Parties have been doing for decades.
