MEDIA -The News Manufacturing Industry

Please read this, circulate it and let us at least publicize this information, which our famed and free media failed to do. Thank you Major Manish H Pitambare and your family members, we are reallyproud of you. Your sacrifice is beyond awards or petty media glare because it is not something trivial or transient. It is not part of the Industry called Media, which is in the business of manufacturing news. We salute your bravery, which will make us live in peace in the future. You have rid the world of a human virus more deadly than any of the many viruses that have visited the human race in its entire history.

Star versus 'Star'
The body of Major Manish Pitambare, who was shot dead at Anantnag, Kashmir was
cremated with full military honours at Thane near Bombay on Wednesday.

On Tuesday news swept across all the news channels 'Sanjay Dutt relieved
by the court'. 'Sirf Munna Not a bhai' , '13 saal ka vanvaas khatam' , 'although found guilty for possession of illegal armory, Sanjay can breathe a sigh of relief as all the TADA charges against him are withdrawn' !!!

And then many ‘experts’ on violent life styles like Salman Khan saying 'He is a good person. We knew he will come out clean’. Mr. Big B, the guy with a 100 % cultivated persona and also the most politically correct character India has ever seen - 'Dutt family and our family have relations for years. He's a good kid. He is like an elder brother to Abhishek'- the little B. His sister Priya Dutt, a Congress MP - 'we can sleep well tonight, it's a great relief' !!!

In other news, Parliament was mad at the Indian team for performing badly; Greg Chapell said something ...; Bomb scare in Gorakhpur Express; and Shah Rukh Khan replaces Big B in KBC (and making a hash of it from the first episode) and Sonia asked PM to consider reducing petroleum prices (at whose cost?). But most of the emphasis was given on Sanjay Dutt's "phoenix like" comeback from the ashes of terrorist charges.

Surfing through the channels: A single news item on BBC startled viewers. It says,
Hisbul Mujahidin's Most Wanted terrorist 'Sohel Faisal' killed in Anantnag,India. Indian Major leading the operation lost his life in the process.
Four others are injured. It was startling as in our Indian channels, the ones who are 'Sabse TEZ', apro Sanjubaba was still ruling the airwaves. They were telling how Sanjubaba pleaded in the court saying 'I am the sole bread earner for my family' (as if he was a daily wage earner eking out a living pushing a hand cart). 'I have a daughter who is studying in US - who will look after her'. And then they showed how Sanjubaba was not wearing his lucky blue shirt while he was hearing the verdict (maybe that’s why his luck finally changed for the better). Also how he went to every temple and prayed (for himself of course) for last few months. We also know to which god he was then praying to by kneeling down five times a day facing the West in his cell chanting “God is great” in Urdu, the mother tongue of his shady maternal uncles, when he was in the lock up for many months from where he was sprung by his Congress (today’s ruling party in Maharashtra and the Centre) MP father (later Union Minister) and Bal Thakray. Now, a suspect in Mumbai bomb blasts, convicted under Weapons Act...was being made into a national hero.
Sure Sanjubaba has a 18 year old daughter; sure Sanjubaba did not indulge in any terrorist activity like bombing some place or hijacking an airplane etc. The Bollywood star was merely found guilty of possessing a Chinese made 9 mm pistol , a favourite of all Paki terrorists and an AK-56 rifle, also Chinese. Under the Arms Act, Dutt faces punishment ranging from five to ten years. He was acquitted of charges under anti-terror act TADA though.
Possessing a strictly prohibited weapon by any Indian civilian is considered too elementary in any terrorist community so that again is not such a big crime. Sure Sanjubaba went to all the Hindu temples this time; Sure he did a lot of Gandhigiri but then..., please read on...
Our true hero, not an author contrived celluloid one, Major Manish H Pitambare got the information from his sources about the terrorists' whereabouts. Wasting no time he attacked the camp killed the Hisbul Mujahidin's supremo and in the process lost his life... to hail of bullets fired from an AK47..

He has a wife and a daughter (just like Sanjubaba), but she is aged ...18 months.

Major Manish never thought 'I have a daughter to look after' before he took the
decision to attack the terrorist hideout in the darkest of nights.
He never thought about having a family and he being the bread earner, which he was.
No news channel covered this since they were too busy hyping a former drug
addict-cum- multi-millionaire actor-cum-suspect in a bomb blasts case. Their aim was to show how he defied the TADA charges and they were so successful that his conviction for possession of prohibited arms had no meaning. They also concluded that his parents in heaven must be happy and proud of him and that is most important.

But the parents of Major Pitambare are still on this earth and they have to live
the rest of their lives without their beloved son. His daughter won't ever see
her papa again.

Finally Sir, Major Pitambare , to my generation there is no greater hero than one who laid down his life for the sake of this great nation. Hence Sir, I salute you. You are the real Star, and I don’t need no media twit to tell us that you are one.

Vande mataram (Maa tujhe salaam).
